Wednesday Musings: On Kindness

I've always believed that the practice of kindness
can be healing for us, and for the people we mingle with.

In the silence lies enough emotional abrasion going around each life that it becomes difficult to find the light towards redemption. Are bad experiences we have accumulated in life, the only common identification we have with others?

Is that all we can give to our fellow...

Thus, we build relationships that are so short lived and unwholesome. In the course of creating connection towards our own kind, we feel soaked in unacknowledged existence. We feel uncelebrated, despite the associations we have formed. These are actually, mere pseudo-connections. The connection we build with others is weak because you, the source is weak, and broken.

You are the primary source of that string you extend to others. Make the source strong. Practice kindness.

Listen To The Sound Of Human Life

Know how to listen. Because it is only in listening that you begin to understand. Listen to your own voice, and listen to the silence and the loudness of every person around. Let these sounds teach you. That the other person is as vulnerable as you, as wanting to be dignified as you are, and as needing warmth against the coldness of society.

In listening well,
you would know
what to say.

Then, your talk would win the hearts of people, not seek false triumph over useless verbal contentions. It should not be your aim, if you are to be a kind creature, to always win over disputes. Because your main dispute is with yourself. You have to mend that, first off.

When that happens, change is on the way for you. Listen well.

Hey Lookie, Eez Wonderful

Any man that walks the mead
In bud, or blade, or bloom, may find
A meaning suited to his mind.
~Alfred Tennyson

Recent shots I took from visit to a highland:

Shall I call myself: a pine cone gatherer?

Might you see, it's leafless. But not lifeless.

It's good to sit in the shade
on a fine day
and look upon verdure,
my most perfect refreshment.

To one who has been long in city pent,
'Tis very sweet to look into the fair
And open face of heaven, - to breathe a prayer
Full in the smile of the blue firmament.
~John Keats, Sonnet XIV

In The Commonplace Dwell Incredible Things

"Earth's crammed with heaven, And every common bush afire with God."
Elizabeth Barrett Browning

"And I firmly believe that nature brings solace in all troubles."
Anne Frank

Living in the present means that we see the world in the eyes of a child.
Appreciate the holy in ordinary things, see The Lord's presence in everywhere.

Listening to--

the wind with the rustling of leaves,
cheerful sound of birds.

Feeling--

the softness of grass while barefoot
raindrops on my face
a kid's hand in mine.

Watching--

an anthill.
a hen hatching eggs.
roses finally blooming.
the moonlight.
a starry sky.

and--

Walking in the rain.
Fresh laundry.
A cup of coffee.
Chat with people you love.
Making a sick person happy.

It's simple to find the beauty of life. Live with eyes open.
